PM DS Najib Razak was in Batu Pahat today to launch the Jelajah Tunaikan Janji carnival.
I'm not feeling well, so cannot go lah.
Just read about it in a posting by BigDog here PM Najib: Kita menepati janji bila berjanji
According to BigDog, there were 30,000 people at the gathering, but I read somewhere else where it was reported that there were about 70,000.
Hmmm....BigDog is definitely not an Umno bootlicker then. Otherwise he would had put the attendance at more than 100,000, isn't it?
Never mind lah. I did called a journalist friend who was there and he indicated that BigDog's figure seems to be a bit small and the 70,000 was more like it.
Whatever it is, I'm sure it was indeed a big crowd. Even 30,000 is a big crowd what.
Well, this picture seems to indicate that the crowd is big and enthusiastic enough.
Since it was a carnival like function, I guess it was something like the Jom Heboh type. After all, it was organized by Media Prima, the parent company of TV3.
I'm not much a fan of that type of carnivals, but it seems a lot of people love it. So, I guess it was not such a bad effort in providing the leaders with an opportunity to touch base with the rakyat.
Since it was about keeping promises, I think it's good that the rakyat be reminded that BN have throughout the years kept their promises. No matter how bad we think of them, BN have always done their best to fulfill their promises.
Maybe not all, but most were indeed fulfilled. Otherwise we would had kicked them out a long long time ago. We, Malaysians are not a stupid bunch, aren't we?
In fact, we almost did that in 2008 after that hopelessly hopeless Pak Lah gave us false promises only later on to brake those promises. The worst was when he promised to follow-up on efforts by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to keep the rakyat safe and the country's sovereignty intact, only later on to royally screwed up everything.
The same promises con game is now being played by the Pakatan people. How many of the promises they made to win in Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, Selangor and other places here and there have been fulfilled? Do look around you and try to remember what they had promised us?
People in Penang for instance, have your life improved so much since DAP took over? Do you eat better? Sleep better? Live in a bigger and better house? Things are cheaper in Penang now? Ok la, if you want to say so, Guan Eng is better looking than Koh Tsu Koon, I will try to swallow that la but other than that, what else had improved?
People of Kedah, how about you all? Things are better now is it? The paddy fields yield better now that alim ulama like Mat Sabu become leaders of your State?
People of Selangor, garbage collected on time now or not? Water got enough or not? Everything ok? Port Klang now look more beautiful or is it even worse than it was?
Ok, Kelantan people, I don't want to ask. They have been living under Pas for too many years. I don't think it's fair for me to ask them these sorts of questions. Nanti they got angry with me pulak.
Najib had over the past three years did his best to restore things. Indeed he have been successful beyond expectations. Yet, the journey is still far and the biggest hurdle is just around the corner The GE13.
Let us see whether we all people could differentiate between those who keep most, if not all their promises and those who just say want to do this and that but suruh buat haram don't know how to do them properly, or buat buat forget pulak after they got the power.
Najib does not seem the type to keep promises He does not seem very smart either. But he is a nice bloke very friendly and smiley-very personable. I shook his hands when i was in one of these function in selangor. They are mostly BN members and govt servants and also the free food and entertainment is a big draw for people.
ReplyDeleteYou harrr...simply simply accuse Najib of these n that. Najib seem like this, Najib seem like that. You go read paper tomorrow lah see for yourself what sorts of promises he had delivered. I think can read the details there. I'm too lazy to write everything here.
DeleteWahh you very clever one.
DeleteCan see people honest or not smart or not.
Maybe you the type who say a man is straigth because his hair is straight....waah so clever clever...
wak
The best PM so far bro.. Maybe better than che det given the chance.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I like Najib, but I love the handsome old man. He is the coolest of the cool cats. Nobody better than him, well, not for now.
DeleteJujur , till now Chedet still the best ~ as for Najib ... for me he play safe too much~ hahaha but definitely waaaay better than slumberjack. But he play safe too much. Too many elegant silence on so many issues...
DeleteSelangorians enjoy RM11.40 water rebate regardless of your political leaning under PR (RM11.40 x 12(months) x 4(years). It may not be much to you but a lot to us. Even BN foot soldiers who are lower income are really appreciating in their hearts.
ReplyDeleteNow if you compare during BN administration, just before they lost, they gave Rozali free license to increase 30-40% tariff on the pretext of better quality water. Empty promises lah. Semua masuk kocek. So you can blame the rakyat for agreeing that BN = Barang Naik. Syed Mokhtar take over gula, gula naik; take over Bernas, beras naik; take over Pos Malaysia, postage naik; take over Proton, don't know yet what's going to naik; being rumoured to take over KTM, so God help us !
This is only a tips of iceberg.
Pakatan in Selangor last time promised these things too - allowences for babies, kindergaten kids, school kids, housewives, single mothers....eerr, those delivered already ka? Last time they said want to help small businesses get place to sell their stuff, how? Got meh? How about those traders at Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam, rental reduced already ka? Don't bluff ok?
DeleteTraders at PKNS is making money and still making money if not they close shop, why not they share some of the profit they made to rakyat selangor for other development. Petrol price also increase
DeleteAiyo, those traders at the PKNS compleks are mostly small time Malay traders la, selling tudung la, kueh mueh la, kitab agama la etc etc. They are not some rich towkeys, ok? Some more Pakatan people promised to help improve their business if they win election. Now have to pay higher rentals pulak. Petrol price increase? The whole world like that la. You use RON95 la, that one I think cheaper and government have not yet increase the price. Better still, take a bus lor.
DeleteOrang Johor, mana u tahu. Tanyalah rakyat Selangor. Sampah tak kutip 2-3 bulan, masalahnya kroni BN (alam flora) sengaja nak buat susah. sekarang dah ok. rumput dipotong lebih kerap. penjaja-2 i tak tahu bcos i bukan peniaga. Like I said even BN members are enjoying RM11.40 free water per month. Tanyalah.
DeleteRM 11.40 subsidi is good.... tapi tak payah nak cakap besar lahh... cuba baca bil TNB.... sila baca banyak mana subsidi yg diberi oleh kerajaan BN ?
suruh org PR belajar menepati janji dululaahhh.... jangan setakat pandai berjanji hanya untuk menang pilihanraya. Jadi pembangkang pun tak pandai, ada hati nati jadi kerajaan.

DeleteLike itbor not i have to puji Rosmah... While sitting in the hot sun.. When PM making his speech.. She allowed rhe rakyat tonshake hands and sign autograph and took pictures.... That was a great transformation!!
ReplyDeleteThe first EVER PM of Malaysia and also in the world holding 3 portfolios. 1) PM; 2) MOF; & now 3) M of Women family and community development. Wow what a tranformation !
ReplyDeleteNow your boss is in charge of COWS too. Standing ovation, Kuching Besar !
ReplyDeleteGodfather
"I have a dream. I have a good dream for BN. I promise I shall continue to steal, and let all my supporters have a good time."
ReplyDeleteIMO, doesn't matter lah from from continental divide, if sincerely tried to fulfill whatever have been 'promised' but failed, due to whatever unforeseen circumstances, that's OK, nothing is lost except face. That does not hurt us Rakyat MORE than monies lost in corrupt practices ... and the unwillingness to acknowledge it.
ReplyDeleteI am selagorain, sampah tak kutip dah lam banyak tikus and now gflies pun dah banyak. Please la kalau sampah cannot handle how. Am not partisan but please i hate sampah tak ambil. Most of us planning to ambik the sampah and throw infront of the resident of those yang cakap tau buat kerja tak tau. As for kroni BN for sampah, come on man please la jangan take this as a reason. before changing anything must have a good planning. Do we have enough manpower to cope with the garbages.it seems those who take over the contract memang bodoh and samdol. Imagine more than a week tak ambik sampah, hey you guys pakatan there this nothing to do with politic this is daily life stories...sampah pun nak blame orang lain. i have enough with this pakatan chaging things yang dah memang baik We want a solutions not reasons like that cronies and that people . Hire some good contractors dont cut the budget for collecting rubbish. kedekut sangat now selangor became selangor darul sampah aka darul tikus. Sultan selangor tolong tengok sikit negeri kotor ni.
