The title is "Faith".
It stars Lee Min-Ho
It's about how Korea broke away from the dominance of Yuan (Mongolian) dynasty of China.
Almost all the characters in the drama are real historical figures.
Korean being Korean, they do have a way to attract viewers to watch even the most boring historical tale. They decided to throw in this irritating lady doctor from the present who was kidnapped by the hero and teleported back to the past. They eventually fell in love. Ok, that's expected. It's after all Korean drama, ok?
Anyway, it's a weird way to make people learn about history, I guess. But hey, at least I now know how it all began for the Koreans and how they got to be so resilient and patriotic.
Maybe the Education Ministry should learn something here on how to make history lessons fun for the young people.
For more information of the drama -
Even our film directors have not learned from the Korean dramas !!! It will be a miracle if MOE would learned - any small bits - from Korean dramas ?
ReplyDeleteLike the PDRM chief said - we will only act upon report is/are made. So most likely MOE is also waiting for report(s) to be made before taking action because MOE do not watch Korean dramas.
MOE staff do watch Korean dramas but they do not make any report because ...

Enamored and enchanted by superficiality in the pursuit of a stereotyped perfect beauty ala European women. How is that creative? Sound shallow.
ReplyDeleteNope.. they still retain their fresh Asian looks! Nice to be around handsome and beautiful people..wink! wink!
DeleteWell, kalau ikut you macam tu;
...Anwar pakai kain pelikat dan kopiah
...LKS dan anak CM dia tu seharusnya rambut bertocang.
...Karpal, mana pi turban dia?
...Pakatan India2 pula seharusnya pakai cawat kain putih.
...Nik Aziz ala ape uh?
You hari2 pi opis pakai ala ape?
Notice all the BN people wear loose jackets...so that they can conceal cash in the inner pockets. Come election time, they can offer 50 or 100 for each vote....
DeleteBut the loose jackets make the BN cats look fat....can't compete with the Koreans lah....
haha... what Asian look?? all trying to be Mat Saleh. Stop deceiving yourself!! Please lah, clothes have nothing to do with it . talking about facial features lah dumbo
DeleteHai pakaian dan muka sama aja, kalau taknak terikut ala European then go all the way Asli la...

DeleteJust because my bf is a Chinese and I like Taiwan and Korean dramas, doesn't make me less a Malay, ok? But of course you are entitled to your own opinion. Doesn't really matter to me.

Big Cat:
ReplyDeleteI am writing the screenplay for a Malaysian drama....a tragedy actually, so please take out your tissue paper.
A well-known politician (N) hands over defence plans to a trusted friend (R), and this friend takes the plans to Hong Kong to sell to a french defence contractor. The french contractor wins the contract, and then pays RM 500 million commission to R. Plus another RM 40 million for the earlier receipt of defence plans.
Unfortunately for R, his negotiations with the French were conducted in the presence of a Mongolian (A) who spoke fluent French, and was also R's lover. Now, the Mongolian realises that R has been paid, so she demands her share of the commission. R avoids her, but A is resilient, and comes over to KL with relatives to hassle R. R in desperation calls on N for help, and N sends over his trusted aide M. M asks two assistants to hound A out of Malaysia, but A refuses to leave, so they kidnap her. They accidentally killed her, and then tried to blow away all traces by using C4. They also managed to erase her immigration records. A's relatives who were in Malaysia lodged a missing person's report when A was nowhere to be found. The police investigated, and found the remains of A in a jungle clearing, and identified her through DNA tests.
The two "killers" were apprehended and charged. In court, the prosecution and defence agreed that N and M need not testify. Hence there was really no defence for the killers and they were sentenced to hang. A's relatives were outraged, as they suspected that N and M had a role in the murder of A. Their cries for justice went unheeded. In the meantime, the killers were masked throughout the trial, and M arranged for two Indonesians with similar height and build to take the place of the two real killers. The two real killers were walking about and drinking coffee at Starbucks.
R in the meantime was enjoying his time in the UK watching his bank account.
How is this script for a Malaysian story ? Think it'll beat your Korean soap opera ?
Careful now since you are basically telling the story of the sensational murder case which has been spun many times by the opposition
DeleteYou mean the story is for real ? I thought it was a Bollywood script.....
DeleteOh dear, what a bunch of liars, these opposition people. This story is just a Hollywood script, and they want everyone to believe it is a true story....sigh....bodoh punya opposition.
Deletenot good enuff...how about a voluptuous Frenchie in her place, now that will get me going :)
Deletetypical Meleis lah... always must ciplak, worshiping other cultures/religion, got no identity ... symptoms of low-self esteem.
ReplyDeleteI love the story of this series. Definitely, a must watch!
