Searching for Wawa

So, the suspended Bank Islam chief economist has threatened to sue those whom he alleged had defamed him as being in cohort with the Pakatan gang.

Among the first to be sued (if ever) must be Rocky the Bru who broke the story about the guy making all sorts of weird noises while in Singapore. Here is Rocky's take on the latest development -

Chief Economist to sue bloggers, etc who slander him

I like this part very much - Still, Wawa has the right to seek redress if he thought he'd been maligned. This is a great democracy where you can instill a million doubts in the judiciary and link it to the ruling Government, and then file a multi-million ringgit lawsuit at the first opportunity you get. How many times have we witnessed that?

Well, I wouldn't worry about Rocky. I think the man had been sued so many times since his newspapers days, that he has probably lost count already. Yet, to my knowledge, I don't think Rocky is a bankrupt. So, that means he has not yet lost a substantial amount in any case which further means that the man normally writes the truth. From the tone of his posting, he seems confident that he can beat this one too if he has to.

Now, the thing that most interest me about this case is not so much about the economist Azrul Azwar Ahmad Tajuddin being a Pakatan's mole in the country's financial sector. That is already very obvious indeed.

What honestly piqued my curiosity of all things about this case is that - How the hell the guy got that nickname Wawa??????

Sorry la, as it may seem trivial to most of you, but I'm just being forthright here...I was very curious about it.

So I googled for images with that name to find out what sort of person uses that name. The top page of my search was filled with pictures of Wawa Zainal, the up and coming actress from Sabah.

Well, not bad leh. Some predicted that Wawa Zainal may take over the number one spot as "Malaysia's sweetheart of the entertainment industry" from the currently popular actress Lisa Surihani.

Maybe the other Wawa can also become a good actor/actress on the side of being an economist. I think he had displayed quite an impressive theatrical talent so far.

Who knows, with such talents, maybe this Pakatan's Wawa could be some sorts of  a 'sweetheart ' too. Hmmmm...someone must have noticed that the dyed hair look sweet, isn't it?

  1. Hehe,

I hope Rocky Bru, the godfather of UMNO bloggers will be sued so that he can have his day in court to defend his allegations soon.

Must give him a chance to show that he is no Utusan, which keeps paying $70,000 each libel damages to Pakatan people recently...

But can we make sure the case is heard before the next GE13! I want to see Rocky have his day in court soon soon la...

    3. Utusan can lose because Utusan fabricate news so much so even the court find it hard to believe or difficult for them to help even if they want to.

  13. zarin:

you must be an idiot ....or simply don't want to acknowledge the truth.

Hello..Kalimullah, his machais in NST and the NST SUED Rocky for defamation in 2006.

The case went on for 5 years-lah. No hearing.. just mentions, postponement, case management..
Rocky's lawyers Haris Ibrahim (a diehard opposition supporter because Umno doesn't allow him to be the kind of "Muslim" that he wants to be) and Malik Imtiaz (suspiciously has no love for Islam) decided to no longer represent him because they realized..haha.. that they were not on the same page with him, politically. What a joke.

True the case was settled out of court. We heard that was at the request of Kalimullah.

Rocky agreed. Why not? It threatened to drag on.

Hello, Zarin -- nothing to do with bravado. simple practicality.

You know..i guarantee that if you come face to face with Rocky -- you will PISS in your pants.

I think you know better the meaning of pussy- cat because you must be one.

  16. FYI, another Malaysian economist in his blog also criticized Wawa as unethical for toeing beyond the lines.

I always thought that Bank Islam economists will have beard, but Wawa looks well in a transexual club i Bangkok. I bet he was a sweetheart in MCKK aka budak jambu that get snuggled by lonely seniors, hahaha, sorry MCKK Old boys, but you have one screwed up school.

I bet this Wawa git the job via back door, the zold Boys network.

  17. GE13 coming soon, i love bn and some of those talented and responsible people helming the co8untry so far. Lately there are indications that the ruling party has acknoeledge their blunders and that will not happen again, and they plead for a second chance. y problem now is this; a lot of missdeed or allegation of missdeeds being raise without any response from those in power (except those lompat people, it piss me every time they respond on behalf of bn or are they being appointed to be the spokepersons?)With hat scenario, voting bn and winning bn will give a wrong signal, i.e everything is ok, scandal or no scandal. so i am undecided, but chances i ll be voting for opposition just to let bn know that if you find some thing is no right, show some will to correct it rather than we will make evrything correct after winning the election.

    1. "show some will to correct it rather than we will make evrything correct after winning the election"

What kind of blinkered reasoning is that?

The Pakatan parties are the current governments in Kelantan, Kedah, Penang and Selangor, and do you see them making things better in these states? I just give one example. I live in Selangor, and the state's mismanagement of the water issue infuriates me. They play with one of the basic necessity of all living things, water, putting everyone to ransom simply because they want to take control of Syabas assets, without any consideration at all to the plight of the suffering masses. They simply see the billions of ringgits of assets to be acquired for free and the potential billions more during the restructuring exercise. Damn them for their greed, and yet there are idiots like you who will still put these robber barons in power to further compound the rakyat's suffering.
