Stupid Malays

For those who are not familiar with Pas, the party actually has an anthem, the same as Umno. The opening line was about calling for the Muslims to unite. Ironic, isn't it? Pas who regards fellow Muslims as infidels and apostates and praying for their destruction singing about a united ummah.

Ok, on surface, Umno may not look as Islamic as Pas, but they are still Muslims. For Nik Aziz to condemn Umno as apostates and Hadi Awang once calling them infidels, I think maybe the Muslims in this country are really doomed to be ruled by others.

Maybe they don't even deserve it to lead this country.

The split among the Malay Muslims has probably reached a point of no return, it seems.

I wouldn't really blame Kit Siang and son Guan Eng if they are now feel ing smug. They already have almost total Chinese support while the Malays squabble among themselves as to, who should be PM and who are more Islamic etc.

Kudos to the Chinese for their ability to unite under DAP. You all really make the Malays look pathetic when it come to matters of securing the interests of your community.

Sorry that I have to say this about my own race - MALAYS ARE STUPID.

Maybe as stupid as the Arabs, who stood by while their brothers and sisters were being butchered by the Zionists.

That's all I want to say for today. You all chew on that one, ok?

    1. Here's a c&p for you:

"You people keep making fun of the Malays, mamaks, etc, what about you Chinese? What's the equivalent to call you all also having mixed blood? Now, now, don't say you people are pure Chinese.

Here is what Professor C.P. Fitzgerald says in his book, "A Short Cultural History of China" (600+ pages) - he lived in China for 5 years to research and gather material for that book:

The phrase "origin of the Chinese people" is in itself misleading.

      1. Chinese culture took root in the plains of Manchuria, a foreign country until after World War II

      2. The northern provinces have always to some degree been mixed with "peoples from the Mongolian steppes"

      3. The southern and central provinces of China were, before the northerners moved southwards, "covered" by non-Chinese, the Miao, small in size and who the Chinese were contemptuous of.

      4. The south was originally occupied by "aboriginal tribes". The ancestors of most of the migrants to Malaya/ sia came from the south. The Professor said, "A large proportion of the population of the south calling itself 'Chinese' is in fact descended from one or other of the aboriginal races" - page 6. Many living in the interior, in the hills and the highlands. Even in modern times, in Yunnan and Kueichou, tribesmen number half the population.

The southerners comprise the following major groups:

      a. Fukienese (Hokkien), "a separate stock, mixed with immigrants from the north and the Yangtze Valley" and speaking "a peculiar dialect".

      b. Cantonese, also speak a somewhat alien language, a form of old Chinese - the south was colonized by the northerners, colonization completed in the 7th Century - some 800 years after China was formed as a political entity by Chin Shih Huang Di.

      c. Hakkas, of Kuantung province, known as "guest families" - they speak a peculiar dialect, despised by the Cantonese and do not inter marry. These people were said to have come from the north, running away from frequent Mongol invasions that culminated in the conquest of China by Genghis Khan in the 13th Century.

So, if any of you are referred to as descendants of the Miao (who are aborigines and non-Chinese), or other aborigines of south China, don't blame me, I'm just a messenger of the news. You can't also blame Professor Fitzgerald any more because he died some years ago.
So, how about we refrain from racial profiling and name calling, ha? Still angry with me, wanna call me names? Don't la, coz you also can be called names."

    2. Here's another c&p for you:

"Books on the Malays written by Mohd Arof Ishak, published by the Historical Society of Malaysia:

      1. The Malay Civilization, 2007
      2. Tamadun Alam Melayu, 2009.

The Malaysian Constitution provides a definition of Malays as habitually Malay speaking, of the Islamic religion and practising the Malay way of life or culture.

The book, “The Malay Civilization”, explains the scores of research carried out since the time of Captain Cook (who brought scientists including a language expert during his expeditions), those done in the 19th and 20th Centuries, especially by experts in the relevant fields in the latter half of the 20th Century in this region of South east Asia.

The author explains that the racial family that occupies this area called the Malay Archipelago and beyond is a very large one, called the Large Family of Malays (Keluarga Besar Melayu or Rumpun Melayu) and each group within the family is known by its own ethnic name, such as Achinese, Bugis, Chamorro, Dayak, Ifugao, Kadazan, Jawa, Filipino, Suluk, Maori, Merina etc and, Malay is one, too.

Why Keluarga Besar or Rumpun Melayu is used - the Malays of the Malay Peninsula were the first people of the large family, and of Southeast Asia, to be met by the Europeans when they arrived in the East, by sea. The Europeans were Portuguese, the year was 1509 and the place was Malacca. Thus, Malay was entered in the European vocabulary as the name of the race of people in the Malay Archipelago. They have similarities with those who have gone beyond, as far away as Madagascar, Malayo-Polynesia, Indo-China, Taiwan, Hawai, etc.

The book chose the term Malay to refer to the large family group (instead of Austronesian or Malayo-Polynesian) for ease of reference. It said, “After all, the Polynesians, Micronesians and Madagascans all originated in the Malay Archipelago”.

Note also that for centuries this region from the Isthmus of Kra (now partly under Thailand and partly under Myanmar) through the land called the Malay Peninsula, Sabah, Sarawak, Kalimantan and all the islands, including the 13,000 islands of Indonesia and the 7,000 islands of the Philippines, have been known the world over as the Malay Archipelago. Further down south, one group of islands has also for centuries been known as Malayo-Polynesia.

The Indonesians (population of 250 million) have accepted their Malay stock. The Filipinos (population of 80 million) even call their nationalist fighter, Jose Rizal, “a great Malay”; a famous book on him carries the title “Pride of the Malay Race”. The terms Malay, Malayan, Indonesian, Austronesian and Malayo-Polynesian have often been used interchangeably by writers and scholars alike to refer to the people of this region.

The Rumpun Melayu constitutes some 350 million people.

Why full stop? No more arguments? Scared to argue? No money to buy those books at RM80 - 90 each? Pool resources lah, 4-5 olang kongsi beli. Read them and then come here to argue lah. Got balls?

When you read those books, you'll know that the stupid idea you mentioned was thrashed out in the mid 1950s. Thrown into the dust bin. Tak laku. No substance.

I say, if you want to argue, don't just write 1 line comment lah. Damn stupid, innit? Big Cat, the word stupid has to be used against these fellows lah. The very definition of the word fits such blokes.

And pssst fellows, the word bloke is not necessarily derogatory, you know. The Oxford dictionary says it's also used for a ship's captain. But whether apt or not for some blokes here, it's a different matter lah.

  6. Not stupid Sis, gullible is more the apt word.

But do not forget history, the Malays will be united when there is a threat facing the whole community. Remember the Malayan Union? The Brits underestimated the Malays taught we were the tak ape types, and tried to introduce the Malayan Union, the Malays raised to the occasion to oppose the Malayan Union.

Having said that I think some PAS leaders and supporters are really stupid to use religion to further their narrow politics.

  9. Big Cat,

I wouldn't put it so far. It is the leaders that is putting words into our mouth while I don't really see huge differences of opinions or altercations among the Malays and even between Malays and non-Malays. For many we just want to get on with our lives earning our keep to feed our family. I get along with everyone even whether they are PAS, PKR, DAP, UMNO, BN, MCA, MIC etc. There are differences of opinions but nothing that brings things towards a heated argument. For me I would put the blame squarely on the leaders and their lackeys trying to manipulate our thoughts and our actions. Say what they will. In the end it is the voters that matters with the blessings of Allah. If Allah says no go they can pray 24/7 spouting the foulest of thoughts and wishes and nothing will happen. Doubting the ultimate power and decision maker is itself sacrilegious.

You must be delusional.. Most Chinese unite behind DAP because they want more of everything. It is not enough that they control 80% of the economic pie.. if possible they want 99%. Just leave 1% scrap to the rest.

If they can, they also want to control 99% of civil servant jobs.. so that they can make policy to support the 99% control of the economic pie.

Unfortunately.. in their quest to find more money, they forgot to procreate.. So not enough number to execute that plan.

So now they focus on politics.. be the mind behind the "power".. The king-maker.

The Malays being gullible as they always were.. just swallow hook, line and sinker.. The End

If you were at the recent Deepavali gathering at Batu Caves, you will realise that many Indians were praying to Lord Murugan for the demise of UMNO. The Indians were angry at being marginalised by UMNO, and the victimisation of people like Ambiga.

At Chinese New Year, you will find that most Chinese will pray to their Gods for the demise of BN. At Christmas all over the country, Christians will be praying for BN's demise too.

  24. Entry to heaven or hell is not even remotely related to which political party you belong to - its all about the character of the individual. This type of thinking is as weak and faulty as the idea that unity of thought supports power and development.
I welcome the different ideas offered by different political parties because it gives the rakyat the chance to choose. It provides a battle of ideas and this competition is always good. Unity of thought leads to mental decay, sloppiness, disinterest in serving the people and arrogance. When is unity important - when dealing with outsiders. Then put your citizens needs, rights and wants first. Check the US - both political giants loathe eachother, but both put their country first when dealing with outsiders. The rise of the opposition in M'sia has made both parties raise their game, improve policies, become more responsive and challenge old ways that no longer serve the people well. I hope it continues because it benefits us all - regardless of who wins or loses.

As policy makers, they have thought, formulated, acted according to these hierarchical rights. "Kesetian kepada raja dan negara", they preach. But they have created their own history by becoming rajas in their own kingdom.

The Malacca Sultanate have been disgraced to no longer exist although they promise to resurrect it if some descendants can show proof by producing the Keris Taming Sari.

In the meantime, the powers that be continue to rape, loot, and reaps the bounty of the country under the pretense of doing more for the right, and protecting their animal rights at the same time.

All the rakyat ask for is to provide for their families and ensure a better future for their children.

In the meantime, the animal kingdom continues, governed by the laws of the jungle.

Animals are the same everywhere too, but some cows want to live in better condominiums. [Here's the sales pitch: we provide elevators for cows too]

Sekiranya Allah menghendaki, niscaya kamu dijadikan-Nya satu umat (saja), tetapi Allah hendak menguji kamu terhadap pemberian-Nya kepadamu, maka berlomba-lombalah berbuat kebajikan.
